Many patients who need to have their teeth straighten or realigned choose Invisalign as an alternative to metal braces. Invisalign aligners are clear, so they don’t change your appearance, and they can be removed when you eat or brush your teeth.
Clear Braces work on the same principle as metal braces, but instead of using springs, wires, and brackets to align your teeth—it uses aligners made of plastic.
The aligners are changed regularly. Each new set is different than the one before it, so over time the aligners realign your teeth into healthy positions.
Clear Braces treatment takes approximately the same time as braces to straighten and realign your teeth. Most patients use the aligners for two years. After the treatment, you may need to wear a dental retainer as your teeth heal and settle.
